Nagpur: 28-year-old Ajay Parteki died under mysterious circumstances at a lodge in Sauner on Sunday while having sex with his girlfriend.
Prima facie Parteki suffered a cardiac arrest, in which the police did not find any evidence of the victim’s consumption of any drugs. Police said the victim had fever for the past few days, as told by his family. He was a driver and also worked as a welding technician.
Nurse Parteki, a resident of Chhindwara in Madhya Pradesh, and a 23-year-old woman had a relationship for the last three years. The family was also aware of this. The two met on Facebook. Parteki had also approached the girlfriend’s mother for marriage. The couple was to tie the knot in the future.
Police said the couple had checked in at the lodge at 4 pm and after about half an hour he fell on the bed during an affair. The woman informed the lodge management, who rushed the unconscious man to the hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Sauner police station’s Assistant Inspector of Police (API) Satish Patil said the woman told him that Parteki fell while getting intimate. “We did not find any evidence that the victim had consumed any medicine. No drug wrapper or packet was found from him. The woman also said that she did not eat anything in his presence,” said Patil. He said the viscera and blood were being sent for chemical analysis.
In the postmortem, the doctors have told the prima facie cause of death to be a heart attack. A case of accidental death has been registered at Saoner police station.

He further underlined the fact that people suffering from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (thickening of the heart muscle) can also die during activities such as sex. “Heart rate and blood pressure increase during sexual activity, which can lead to death,” he said, adding that people now need to take more care of their hearts than before.
