A senior Telangana BJP leader on Sunday alleged that he caught an intelligence officer taking photographs of draft resolution copies of the day’s proceedings of the party’s National Executive Council meeting held at the Hyderabad International Convention Center here. Former BJP MLA N Indrasena Reddy alleged that the intelligence officer caught by him was handed over to his superiors and it was ensured that the photographs allegedly taken by him are removed.
“The local government is trying to make public all the discussions happening here with malicious intent. Intelligence officers came inside the hall where entry is not allowed. He used the police pass to enter the venue. The officer was caught taking photographs of the draft resolution copies using a mobile phone before the day’s proceedings began. They were handed over to senior officials,” Reddy told reporters outside HICC. He said that the attitude of the state government is not acceptable and they should not interfere in the privacy of others.
“Why should he (Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao) send (intelligence officers) like this? If there is anything then he should deal with it directly,” he further alleged. He demanded that the state government apologize for the incident.
Meanwhile, when asked about the alleged incident, a police officer declined to comment.
