New Delhi: India reported 10,725 new COVID cases and 36 deaths in the last 24 hours, said Union Health Ministry on Thursday.

The health ministry said active cases account for 0.21 per cent of the total infections, while the national recovery rate has been recorded at 98.72 per cent.
The daily positivity rate was recorded at 2.73 per cent and weekly positivity rate at 3.20 per cent, the data said.

Further, in the last 24 hours, a total of 3,92,837 tests were conducted across the country, taking the total number to over 88.39 crore.
As of Thursday morning, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 210.82 crore, achieved through 2,80,58,526 sessions.
While vaccination for 12-14 years of age began on March 16, 2022, the COVID-19 precaution or booster dose administration for the age group of 18-59 years also began on April 10, 2022.
