ILT20: 84 international stars to participate in UAE T20 league

United Arab Emirates: The ink has now dried on the impressive international signings of ILT20, which represents an inaugural roster of 84 internationals. 72 are from ICC full member nations, with a remarkable 12-player line-up from seven associate nations, and a ground-breaking 24 from the United Arab Emirates will be added to the squads.

Players from Afghanistan, Australia, England, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe and the West Indies (Barbados, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica and Trinidad) have displayed a diverse, international flair and taste. Named for the makeup of the six teams of ILT20, with Italy, Namibia, Nepal, Netherlands, Oman, Scotland, the United States and the United Arab Emirates completing the collaborative contribution. And, while the process for signing UAE players will be announced in due course, several teams have begun ratifying their coaching units, featuring the names of some of the most outstanding minds in the game today.

Making its debut in January (2023), the inaugural ILT20, which has received multi-year ICC approval, will be played in a 34-match format at the UAE’s exemplary, world-class cricket facilities in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. And it will be telecast live on ZEE’s Linear Television as well as the digital streaming platform ZEE5.

The franchise teams include Abu Dhabi Knight Riders (Kolkata Knight Riders), Desert Vipers (Lancer Capital), Dubai Capitals (GMR), Gulf Giants (Adani Sportsline), MI Emirates (Reliance Industries), and Sharjah Warriors (Capri Global).
