In a man’s world, female curators are breaking the ground ceiling

Recently, when it rained at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, there was a strange sight; A woman shouted at the groundsmen, who hurried to cover the pitch and outfield. Cricket administration is still a man’s world, but Jacintha Kalyan has made her way into it.

Jacintha is the only BCCI-qualified female curator in the country and amongst a select few in the world. Chosen because the job of a curator is a tough job. The pitch and outfield demand constant care and nurturing and must be delivered by curators, regardless of rain or sun.
