India vs England 5th Test: Jasprit Bumrah is having a great Test match against England, From the time he became the stand-in captain for India after Rohit Sharma was ruled out of the Test due to positive coronavirus test, Bumrah has been on the ball rolling. He first surprised the cricket world Breaks Brian Lara’s record for most runs In the over of a test match. Then he came back with a surprising chant Took the first 3 English wickets with the ball in hand. On the third day, he displayed his insane fielding skills by taking a catch off Shardul Thakur to dismiss rival skipper Ben Stokes.
Stokes was playing with fire, going big on every ball and the opportunity was in hand. Not long ago, Thakur had dropped Stokes, but luck soon ran out for the England captain as his shot at long off didn’t actually go over the fielder. Bumrah dived to his left to take a brilliant catch and cut short Stokes’ day at the office with bat in hand.
Take a look at the catch below.

The match is tilted slightly towards India (at the time of writing of this article) with England losing 6 wickets and leading by over 200 runs. England have 4 wickets between Jonny Bairstow and Sam Billings. Bairstow has attacked the Indian fast bowlers on the third day. Despite Stokes scoring 25 off 36 balls, Bairstow did not give up on his attacking intent and continued to play shots.
If England manage to reduce the lead below 50, we will have a match, then India will have to score another big score to get to a place they can’t lose. Let’s not forget what’s at stake: the series itself. England need a win at any cost to level the series 2-2. Whereas India need either a win or a draw to secure their first Test series win in England since 2007-08.
