“Rajagopal Reddy joining the party means the beginning of the end of the KCR government. If Rajagopal Reddy wins, the KCR government will disappear,” Shah said.
The Union Home Minister also accused the KCR government of not reducing VAT on petrol, which has resulted in “inflation in Telangana”.
Shah further alleged that KCR was not celebrating Telangana Liberation Day officially out of fear of Majlis (Muslim political party) and said that when the BJP comes to power in the state, it will officially organize it on September 17.
‘People unhappy with KCR government: BJP’
Meanwhile, the party’s national general secretary Tarun Chugh He said that people are unhappy with the KCR government.
“Atrocities and violence are taking place across the state and people are scared in such an environment. They want a change that only BJP will bring,” Chugh said.
BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP K Laxman said Telangana politics would change as a result of Munugode by-election, “people are fed up with the dominance of the TRS party and want Telangana to be transformed, which only the BJP can accomplish”.
Laxman said, “People used to believe that Congress would be an option, but after seeing politics at the federal level, all regional parties under the Congress umbrella have united with the BJP to oppose the Congress.”
BJP’s rally is being held a day after Chief Minister KCR’s launch in Munugode Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) campaign for the upcoming Munugode by-election.
