Kovid cases below 500 in Mumbai | Mumbai News – Times of India

MUMBAI: After more than a month, the daily tally of Covid-19 cases (431) in Mumbai fell below 500, according to state COVID updates. On May 31, the city had 506 cases which soon rose to over 2,000 daily in mid-June.
The state tally (1,515) on Monday also declined by 48% as compared to Sunday.
The last time the state’s tally was low was June 6 (1,036 cases). Public health officials said the dip on Sunday may have been a function of fewer tests, but the “bounce” that began in early June has subsided.
In Mumbai, the daily test positivity rate dropped to 4.7% after rising to 20% a few weeks ago. However, the city recorded three deaths, including a 33-year-old kidney failure patient. The fourth death occurred in Ratnagiri.
