The BJP Telangana unit also attached three photographs to the tweet in which RCP Singh is offered a ‘shawl’ and ’tilak’ on his forehead as a grand welcome by saffron party workers.
As the tweet went viral in the political circles of the state, BJP leaders came forward to refute media reports that Singh has joined the saffron party.
“The news that RCP Singh attended the BJP national executive meeting is completely misleading. He may have come to Hyderabad for a government function and was welcomed by BJP workers present at the airport,” said senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha member. Some other BJP leaders also denied reports that Singh had joined the BJP.
However, neither Singh nor his party JD(U) gave any clarification on the issue.
