Pakistan on Monday accepted the body of Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist. The special thing is that for the first time in 20 years, Pakistan has accepted the terrorist connection. An army official said that Pakistan has always denied taking bodies of its civilians involved in terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir in the past.

Tabarak Hussain (32), a resident of Sabjakot village of Kotli in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK), attempted to infiltrate into India from Rajouri’s Nowshera sector on August 21 last month. During this he was shot in the leg and shoulder. Security forces took him to the hospital with injured arrangements, where he was operated upon. Meanwhile, on last Saturday, September 3, Hussain died of cardiac arrest in a hospital in Rajouri. All formalities including postmortem were completed on Sunday. After this the Pakistan Army was contacted.

An army official said that two days after Hussain’s death, his body was handed over to Pakistan. On Monday, the Indian Army handed over the body to Pakistani authorities in the presence of police and civil officials at Chakan Da Bagh crossroads on the Line of Control in Poonch district.

Dr Manmeet Kaur said, “We had received information that one body has to be handed over to Pakistan. We handed over the body to them (Pak authorities) at around 11:06 am.

30 thousand Pakistani rupees were given to attack
Hussain had revealed during interrogation that he and his three accomplices were given money and four to five guns by Colonel Yunus Chaudhry of Pakistan’s intelligence agency to carry out fidayeen attacks on Indian soldiers after crossing the LOC. The colonel had given him 30 thousand Pakistani rupees to attack the Indian post. Hussain was shot in the encounter with the Indian Army, while his accomplices fled.

Arrested in 2016 also
Hussain was a trend terrorist. He was arrested by the Indian Army from the same area in 2016. Then he came with his brother Haroon Ali. However, then the army released him on humanitarian grounds. He was deported back to Pakistan in November 2017.
