Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav On Sunday, the national, state and district executive bodies of all its organizations, including the youth and women’s cell, were dissolved with immediate effect.
Although no official reason has been given, the move is being seen as an attempt to reform the SP after its defeat in the Lok Sabha bypolls in party strongholds Rampur and Azamgarh.
The party said that the party’s Uttar Pradesh President Naresh Uttam will continue in his post.
Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav dissolved the party’s national, state and district executives with immediate effect, leaving the party’s state president. The national presidents, state presidents, district presidents of all the party’s organizations including youth and women’s wings have also been dissolved.
A senior party leader said, “The party is gearing up for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and the focus is on strengthening the organization to take on the BJP with full force.”
