TRS working president and minister KT Rama Rao tweeted on Sunday that the father of an “ace cricketer” is visiting Telangana in an apparent reference to Union Home Minister Amit Shah attending various events, including a public meeting in Munugode. Came here for Rama Rao further said that the visiting dignitaries will also “drive a campaign for a gentleman whose brother is an MP”, indirectly referring to K Rajagopal Reddy who recently resigned as MLA from Munugode assembly constituency. Reddy is all set to join the BJP and will contest whenever the bypolls are held.
“The father of a cricketer who rose through the ranks and became the BCCI secretary (purely on merit) is visiting Telangana today. He will campaign for a gentleman whose brother is an MP and whose wife was an MLC contestant and will provide us lectures and knowledge on familism,” Rama Rao tweeted. In a separate tweet, Rama Rao said that the people of Telangana want to hear from Amit Shah why the Gujarat government decided to release the convicts in the Bilkis Bano case.
