The latest adaptation of author JRR Tolkien’s fantasy novel series, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, is set to release on Amazon Prime on September 2. The cast of the film was in Mumbai last week to promote the show and as soon as they spoke to the media, some of them spoke about their interest in Bollywood and Indian web shows.
Markella Kavanagh, who plays Nori, says, “I have received a few recommendations after coming here. I want to see this show called The Family Man. I also enjoyed watching Never Have I Ever (which stars Indian actors). I liked it so much that I just kept watching it.”
Sara Zwangobani, who plays Nori’s mother on the show, said, “I am also familiar with this actress who now lives in the USA… Priyanka Chopra, I’ve seen the show that made him very famous in America… with the FBI Academy (Quantico) (which is in the background). I have followed that show.”
While Megan Richards, who plays Poppy (Nori’s friend) on the show, shared that she loves full songs and dance sequences in Bollywood movies and would love to see herself dancing to one of the popular numbers.
Talking further about the show, Sara opened up about how she can connect with her character, “I play a mother in the show, and in real life I am also a mother. So that’s what I recognized the most from my character. As I played my part, it got me thinking about what kind of parenting I wanted to pursue… and it also made me think a lot about thinking about what someone’s going to do. what is right for and allows them to work on it. yourself.”
