While earlier reports claimed that the Shinde-led faction of Shiv Sena sealed the office, Aaditya Thackeray later said, “We have closed the office of the Shiv Sena Legislature Party in the Assembly”.

Ahead of the two-day special session of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly beginning on Sunday, the office of the Shiv Sena Legislature Party in Mumbai’s Vidhan Bhavan was sealed with a notice.

A white paper with plastic tape was pasted on the closed doors of the Shiv Sena Legislature Party’s office in Vidhan Bhavan, on which a message in Marathi read, “Office is closed as per the instructions of Shiv Sena Legislature Party.

While earlier reports claimed that the Shinde-led faction of Shiv Sena had sealed the office, Aaditya Thackeray later said, “We have closed the office of Shiv Sena Legislature Party in the Assembly”.

“We have to go to the House together, the keys to the office are with us. They had kept some of our MLAs locked up. News agency ANI quoted Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray as saying that if we have closed the office then what is the big deal in this.

The four-day Shiv Sena-BJP government will face a floor test on July 4 during a two-day special session of the Assembly beginning here on Sunday.
