Lucknow Range Inspector General Laxmi Singh said that Zubair was produced in a Sitapur court in the above case. In his tweet, Zubair had reportedly referred to the three saints as “haters”.
The UP Police had filed a charge sheet against Zubair in the case. “A production warrant was issued after the chargesheet was filed against Zubair, who was booked for hurting religious sentiments and under sections of the Information Technology Act,” the IG said.
On May 27, one Bhagwan Sharan had lodged an FIR against Zubair for an alleged derogatory tweet against Mahant Bajrang Muni, Yati Narsinghanand and Swami Anand Swaroop.
