Vijay Deverakonda says he feels ‘weird and embarrassed’ about being called a superstar – Times of India

After winning hearts with his performance in ‘Arjun Reddy’, Vijay Deverakonda is all set to make his way Bollywood Debut with her upcoming pan India film ‘Liger’. The actor recently opened up about being called a superstar.

In an interview with a news portal, Vijay said that he has always been influenced by the word superstar. The actor also said that he always wanted to be called and wanted to be one too. He is doing Liger Fantasy Tour all over India and he is getting so much love. The actor is also being addressed as a superstar everywhere.

Responding to the same, Vijay said that it is a bit strange for him and he is also a bit embarrassed by it. The actor feels he hasn’t done much yet to deserve it. Although he doesn’t know if the term fits yet, he is overwhelmed with the love he is receiving, Vijay told Galata Plus.

The actor’s Hindi debut reportedly comes at a time when Bollywood is struggling to find hits. Some big films like Aamir Khan starrer ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Raksha Bandhan’ have also exploded at the box office.

However, the actor says that he is not under any pressure. According to him, he has a really good film in his hand. There is no point in complaining and you just have to push and see where the limit is. Vijay also said that he will learn from this release and move forward accordingly.

‘Liger’ also stars Ananya Panday, Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy and others in pivotal roles. It is slated to hit the theaters on August 25.
