Yogi Minister Bhupendra Chaudhary may be the new president of UP BJP. India News – Times of India

New Delhi: Minister of Uttar Pradesh Bhupendra Chaudhary Likely to be appointed as the next state BJP president.
Outgoing Swatantra Dev Singh has been made a minister in the Yogi Adityanath-led government.
Chaudhary, a Jat leader from western Uttar Pradesh, met BJP President JP Nadda late Wednesday evening. The Jat community has influence in more than 25 seats in western UP.
Chaudhary was elected a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council on 10 June 2016. He is currently the Minister of Panchayati Raj in the Yogi government.
A BJP leader said there is a serious need for a powerful party organization for regular formation of the cadre which will ultimately be responsible for taking the people-centric programs of the Center and the state to the people and getting the desired response. The UP chief minister has been deputing a delegation of ministers to visit different parts of the state to get feedback about such programmes.
Also, as CM Adityanath is from eastern Uttar Pradesh, the BJP is also trying to strike a regional balance with the appointment of Choudhary, who is from western Uttar Pradesh, as the party’s state chief.
